Facing Challenges is a three, five or seven-day course for those who are about to make or have just made the transition from primary to secondary school. The course is designed for young people at risk of failing to positively engage in secondary education because of pressures they face or personal and social barriers. The course structure provides opportunities for the participants to face up to these barriers by taking part in challenging group activities which enable them to increase their self-esteem and learn to socially engage with their peers.
