The purpose of The Outward Bound Trust Code is to establish the standard of behaviour and performance that is expected of everyone who takes part in any activity organised by The Outward Bound Trust.

The underlying intent is to create a supportive environment in which all participants can have the freedom to enjoy and learn from the experience offered by The Outward Bound Trust without being threatened in any way. Any rules that are imposed have been developed through experience and stem from a desire to prevent conflict.

The Code sets out to create and protect a working and social environment that gives everyone an equal opportunity to explore their potential.
