Metro - (non-residential, central Scotland)
Outward Bound® Metro serves schools and youth groups in central Scotland, providing tailor-made Outward Bound experiences to meet the particular needs of young people living in urban areas.

At Metro, we use the outdoors on young people's doorsteps and adventurous activities such as mountain-biking, canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling as a catalyst for learning. Schools, youth groups and youth services all use Outward Bound Metro to support the development of the young people they are working with.

The Metro programme is ideal for young people who:

  • Are unable to access a traditional residential experience for a variety of reasons.

  • Would benefit from a longer-term approach to their personal development.

  • Would benefit from further personal development with Outward Bound in their local area, following a residential course at an Outward Bound centre, to help them with the transfer of learning and to continue their development.
